Color schemes play an important role in the construction of magazines. Picking the right color schemes is just as important as the content you choose. Specific color schemes can be used to asses different audiences or objectives.

      Genre Purpose, Target Audience, Distribution     The purpose of a magazine is one of the greatest determining factors that influences its contents. Content is the information that magazines provide to their audience.     -  Whether the purpose of the magazine is to entertain, persuade, or inform is what determines the information that will be presented to the argument.  ex: a magazine with the purpose of informing the audience on current news while provide information on what is going on in the world today.              The target audience of a magazine also influences its content.
