Planning Preliminary Tasks

Before completing my final magazine, I will be completing preliminary tasks as a way to practice and perfect the components that will go into my project. The goal of these preliminary tasks is to serve as a rough draft, allowing me to weed out any discrepancies before completing the final product. These tasks will include things such as:

  • Creating a preliminary cover page
  • Creating a preliminary table of contents
  • Creating a preliminary double page spread
  • Creating a practice feature story.
After each task, I will evaluate and analyze what I can learn and improve for my final product.

Preliminary Task

 For my first preliminary assignment,  I will be using the  "Canva" platform to construct a practice cover page. Through this task, I plan to: Practice my editing skills Use an eye-catching color scheme that fits the content Focus on bold fonts and lettering, similar to those in other music magazines  Select photos and a page set up that will allow me to display my information in an efficient yet stylish way  Become more comfortable working the 'Canva' platform so I can utilize its tools to the best of my ability for the remainder of this project.
