      Genre Purpose, Target Audience, Distribution     The purpose of a magazine is one of the greatest determining factors that influences its contents. Content is the information that magazines provide to their audience.     -  Whether the purpose of the magazine is to entertain, persuade, or inform is what determines the information that will be presented to the argument.  ex: a magazine with the purpose of informing the audience on current news while provide information on what is going on in the world today.              The target audience of a magazine also influences its content. Audience is composed of  several factors including age, interests, etc. The purpose of my magazine will be to inform the public on current news and accomplishments within the black music industry today.
